Last year, as you may have heard, we had a total blast participating in the 3rd Annual Grand Trikathlon. Well, with another year comes another chance to dominate the competition. This year's Trikathlon is happening on April 29th, which gives us a month to meet our fundraising goal. You can donate to our team here. All donations go directly to The Cancer Connection, an organization which offers extensive, holistic rehabilitation services for cancer survivors. To sweeten the deal even further, left-click will DOUBLE YOUR DONATION by matching everything we get up to $300. Join us in the battle for fun and support for cancer survivors!

We've been working with Thornes Marketplace and their window designer Carrie Lenard on this month's left-click window display, and we're thrilled with how great it came out!

The concept, an idea by our webdev Sasha, was to showcase an "exploded" laptop, in the style of auto manual engine diagrams like this one. Aided by some helpful signage, we're showing the internal components of a laptop so people can better wrap their heads around how a computer works, and better understand the work they're hiring us to do. We're talking about pretty basic stuff in the display (RAM, Logic Board, etc.), but we know a lot of our client base will find this information helpful.

Wondering what Reese Witherspoon is doing here? This is her character from the film Election, Tracy Flick!

Hello Western MA! You can vote here for The Valley Advocate's Best of the Valley 2012, and if you've had a good experience with us we would be thrilled and honored if you would consider voting for left-click in the Local Computer Store category (it's in the "Material World" section, a little more than halfway down the page). Our ever-expanding and enthusiastic customer base, including many prominent local businesses, is a testament to our technical proficiency and superior customer service. You can see many of our wonderful customers, including Bueno Y Sano, River Valley Market and Cornucopia Foods, talk about their experiences with us in the video below.

left-click strives to be an active member of the Western Massachusetts community. In the last year we had amazing experiences supporting and participating in the Youth Action Coalition's mural unveiling in Amherst, The Cancer Connection's Trikathlon and PBS WGBY's winter fundraiser. We've supported and raised awareness about The Valley Arts Newsletter and the initiative to move the Pleasant Street Video library to Forbes Library. We also focus our advertising budget on supporting many worthy local organizations, including Northampton and Amherst High Schools, the Hampshire Shakespeare Company, local literary magazine Meat for Tea and the Out for Reel! LGBT Film Series. We also had a total blast with everyone taking green screen photos at the last Twist craft fair!

We are very excited to announce the winner of our Holiday iPad Raffle! We're never quite sure what the best, most truly fair way to select a winner for a raffle is. This time around we have employed the services of Mr. Crumbles, the Psychic Kitten, who will pluck the name of the most deserving winner from the depths of the universe using his mystic crystal ball. Take it away, Mr. Crumbles!

We've been working on something for this weekend's Twist Fair 7 that we're really excited about! Shoppers who stop at our table will be able to get their picture taken in one of three glorious locales; The Moon, The Beach or The Underworld. Although we tried to figure out the logistics, we will not actually be able to bring the moon, the beach or the underworld to Twist, so we're dong the next best thing: bringing a green screen and dropping in the backgrounds later. In addition, we'll have a bunch of goofy props and you'll even be able to have a roller derby girl from the Pair O' Dice City Rollers pose with you! This is our second year participating in Twist, Northampton's twice-annual alternative craft fair, and we can't wait to see everyone there!

You can see The Moon above, hit "Red More" to see The Beach and The Underworld!

left-click Senior Web Developer Rob Bayliss done got himself hitched over the weekend, to the lovely Lara. They got married on the weekend of Hurricane Irene, but the ceremony went off without a hitch. (Well, I guess there was one hitch.) Although they clearly wont need it, everyone at left-click wishes the very best to the happy couple!

I am very excited to announce that left-click has partnered with Creative Dexterity to offer their Computer Key Jewelry line for sale in our Northampton location. We have earrings, necklaces and cufflinks, all made from sterling silver and real Apple keyboard keys. We met Creative Dexterity at Twist Fair a while back and were really excited to discover her sleek, elegant, idiosyncratic work, especially since we thought it would be such a good fit for our store in the context of Thrones Marketplace.
